Canaccord Genuity is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused individual to join our Operations Trading team as a Trade Support Officer. Based on the trading floor, this role offers direct exposure to front office activity, supporting our traders and working closely with teams across the business to ensure seamless trade execution and settlement. You’ll play a critical role in monitoring trading activity, investigating and resolving trade breaks, and maintaining system and data integrity. This position is central to delivering exceptional service to our institutional clients in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Your role:
Monitor Crest Checking and liaise with client’s and brokers to rectify any problems which occur
Ensure that reconciliation problems are cleared, liaising with the Finance team where applicable;
Maintain/update client and Broker SSI’s internally to ensure smooth timely settlement
Ensure the accuracy of trade processing and reporting from Front and Back Office to downstream systems in accordance with Stock Exchange rules, the FCA regulatory framework and principles laid down by senior Operations management.
Daily and Weekly monitoring/reconciliation of all Canaccord Transaction reporting in order to comply with MIFID II guidelines
Attend industry specific events and courses in order to maintain professional development
Fidessa
Support and liaise with the traders to identify and rectify any problems or system failures
Monitor and repair trade queues, booking client trades and monitor CTAC system;
Responsible for setting up Fix links with providers to allow clients to send orders electronically
Testing and development of system and procedures.
**Our Ideal Candidate:**
Strong written and verbal English skills and solid numeracy
2-3 years’ experience in Middle Office role
Proficient in use of Fidessa
Understanding of FIX protocols and systems messaging.
Good understanding of trade and transaction reporting practices and procedures
Proficient in all MS Office products, in particular Excel.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment
