Site Layout Engineer | HVAC Layout Engineer | Electrical Layout Engineer

2. From 10 to 15 years of experience (HVAC Layout Engineer)
3. Energy industry experience required (Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…), Nuclear preferred
4. Coordination, open point, problem-solving...
5. HVAC, piping, equipment, civil, cable trays (at least 3 out 5)
Experience in previous EPR or other nuclear projects
Good knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects, (in particular, aspects relating to flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures,...) (ALL APPLICATIONS NOT MEETING THESE CRITERIA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED)

EXPERTISE:
Main activities for Site Layout Engineer:
Assessing if the site request has layout impact, requests coming from the site that may impact Layout and listing the impacts of the site change on all disciplines and other contractors;
Producing technical assessments and solutions, with supporting justification. 3D models, installation tolerances, introduction notes, … update deliverables produced by the RD back office if needed proposed 3D model (with the support of a CAD designer)
Liaising with other disciplines (HVAC, Piping, Equipment and Electrical) when needed;
Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progress, and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified;
Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site;
Anticipates and raises alerts on open technical points;
Being part of the JDO-DT Layout team, participating in Team meetings, sharing technical topics
Manages and monitors the modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors, and the client.
Main activities for HVAC Layout Engineer:
Request the input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, etc.), analyze them, and verify their technical consistency.
Carries out layout engineering or makes proposals to improve the layout and solve multi-disciplinary layout issues (HVAC equipment, design HVAC ducts in the 3D model, carries out checks of the consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model…)
Writes the related technical documents (progress reports, change impact analysis, design procedures, handover reports to manufacturing suppliers, etc).
Implement modification in the 3D-Model following the rules of modeling and checking the consistency of the change in the components and equipment, civil structures, steelwork, pipework, HVAC ducts and components, instrumentation, electrical cable trays, boxes, and cabinets
Perform surveillance activities on detail designer engineering production
Produce packages to support maturity reviews with the main stakeholder
Main activities for Electrical Layout Engineer:
Based in Bristol | Work on-site in Bridgwater; Degree in Electrical Engineering; From 6 to 8 years of plant layout experience in the Energy industry experience required (Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…), Nuclear preferred;
Qualifications: Good knowledge and understanding of general layout rules for an industrial project. Knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects.
You need to interact with all groups/sections related to the building and in particular with the other HVAC engineers, layout engineers, civil engineers, systems and contracts engineers, and the team in charge of the analysis of internal hazards and to have HVAC systems knowledge (e.g. thermal loads….) preferred
You should possess good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and you need to have the ability to take a strategic view, manage a multiplicity of interfaces, summarize, be proactive, and meet commitments and deadlines.
You will be required to write expressed and well-presented reports and apply logical thinking.
Software and Tools: Microsoft Word/Excel. Good knowledge of PDMS (or any 3D design software), Autocad 2D and Navisworks software (consultation). Good knowledge of 3D design software (Navisworks);
