Support the effective use and ongoing maintenance of the HR and Payroll software platform and other systems, ensuring they are optimised for accurate record-keeping, efficient HR and payroll processes and insightful data reporting aligned with business needs.
Contribute to system upgrades and enhancements and assist in the evaluation and implementation of new systems as part of improvement projects.
Deliver high-quality, customer-focused support to system users and managers, including responsibility for system administration, data analysis and reporting to enhance service delivery.
Role responsibilities and main duties
Support the development and optimisation of the HR and Payroll systems to enhance business process efficiency, improve reporting capabilities, and enable the roll out of new functionality. Assist in the planning, documentation and execution of system and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all changes to HR and Payroll systems.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data, producing reports and analysis in line with data protection legislation and internal standards.
Act as the first point of contact for system-related queries via the People Team Service Desk (ASM Platform), escalating issues to the Systems and Data Specialist as required and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Maintain and administer organisational structures within the HR and Payroll system, ensuring they are up to date and accurate for reporting purposes and management workflows and authorisations are correct. Provide support to the People administration team with processing new starters and unit and post changes.
Support the review and updates of the HR and Payroll systems in response to changes in HR policies, procedures, pension regulations and employment legislation.
Assist in evaluating the impact of new system functionality on processes and user experience. Identify and elevate system issues or defects that require investigation or escalating to the software providers, to the Systems and Data Specialist for resolution and to maintain system integrity.
Administer routine system maintenance tasks, including user access, access privileges, security settings, audit logs, and testing of service packs and major release updates.
Contribute to the co-ordination, development, testing and maintenance of HR reporting solutions [i.e., standard reports provided by the iTrent application and Business Objects reporting] for BAU, ad-hoc requests, performance measurement, metrics, and statutory reporting needs.
Maintain a central catalogue of standard published reports, including their purpose and distribution lists.
