RATES: HGV Class 1 driver
0-12 Weeks £15.41-£25.94
12-26 Weeks £16.41-£27.46
27 Weeks +£17.41-£28.46
Overtime Rate Applicable after 45 hours weekly

HG Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a supermarket distribution role. Suitable candidates are encouraged to APPLY NOW
DUTIES:
Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others
Delivering ambient and chilled supermarket goods using temperature-controlled vehicles
Ensuring correct temperature compliance for chilled distribution
Securing loads to ensure products are transported safely and without damage
Carrying out store deliveries and trunking as required
Operating Class 1 vehicles, with flexibility to operate Class 2 vehicles where required
Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the Transport Office
Providing excellent customer service at store delivery points
Working efficiently to delivery schedules and time windows
Maintaining a professional and flexible approach at all times

Requirements:
HGV C+E (Class 1) licence
Must be willing to operate Class 2 vehicles where required
Digi Tacho & CPC cards
Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours)
Experience with temperature-controlled / chilled distribution preferred
Good geographical awareness
Excellent customer-facing skills
Good timekeeping and ability to work unsupervised
Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first-class service
Strong communication skills and flexible, can-do attitude
