What you’ll do on a typical day:
Day-to-day you will provide a first level advisory service to the site team. You’ll be supporting the delivery of the People Agenda to align culture, talent, structure and processes
* Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees for the CPS contract
* Drive and promote Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing initiatives
* Ensure legal compliance with all HR practices and be aware of any employment law changes and update processes as appropriate
* Create a culture of innovation and problem solving amongst Managers and employees
* Build harmonious relationships with any Trade Union to ensure optimum working efficiency
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Experience of working in a similar fast-paced HR team, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment, dealing with complex ER cases
* CIPD Level 3 qualified, or working towards
* Experience of undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues and being involved in setting up processes and systems
* Some knowledge of employment law with experience working within unionised environments
