Eden Scott’s Accountancy & Finance Division is pleased to be supporting a well-regarded Accountancy Practice in Kirkcaldy in their search for a Bookkeeper.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a supportive and reputable firm offering ongoing training and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of bookkeeping duties, including VAT returns and accounts preparation, across a varied client portfolio.
Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Fully Onsite.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
* Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Reconcile bank statements and client accounts
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts
* Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure compliance
* Support internal reporting and audit preparation
Qualifications
* Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a practice environment
* Strong understanding of VAT and general accounting principles
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
* A proactive and professional approach to client service
