Prime Brokerage Tech
Prime Brokerage Technology delivers solutions that underpin client and trader operations, driving Citi’s Prime Finance business and supporting a major growth target.
Responsibilities
* Own and deliver Java/Kotlin components within the Core Prime Brokerage platform with hands‑on development.
* Provide technical leadership for an agile development team, championing best practices in CI/CD and automated testing, and driving continuous improvement using DORA metrics.
* Lead design, planning, and estimation discussions with cross‑functional partners and business stakeholders.
* Conduct high‑level system analysis and architecture design to align with business requirements, technical standards, and the overall architecture blueprint.
* Facilitate requirement gathering and translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
* Oversee creation and maintenance of project and technical documentation.
* Identify and mitigate risks throughout the SDLC, proposing solutions to complex problems.
* Apply advanced system flow knowledge to develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
* Oversee production support, collaborate with operations and business stakeholders, analyze patterns, streamline documentation, manage on‑call rotations, and lead post‑mortems and root‑cause analysis.
* Provide technical leadership and coach mid‑level developers, analysts, and graduates.
Key Skills and Experience Required
* Strong knowledge of the Prime Services business.
* Advanced engineering skills.
* Exposure to AI tooling for process optimisation.
* Proven ability to manage complex, high‑impact issues with balanced action plans.
* Experience implementing solutions across Prime Services Technology that benefit the business.
* Design and develop system architecture, ensure quality deliverables, and maintain documentation per Citi policies.
* Contribute to best‑practice implementation and process transparency across teams.
* Innovative problem‑solver, affable, and team‑player.
