Croydon High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our pastoral and safeguarding team.
You will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our pupils, delivering clinically effective nursing and first aid, and supporting vulnerable pupils with tailored care plans and mental health support.
You will collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies on long-term health management for various pupils and play a key role in safeguarding, PSHE, and health promotion initiatives.
Maintaining medical records and upholding confidentiality in line with safeguarding policies is a key requirement of this role.
This is a term time only role, including a few inset days per term.
About You
You will be an NMC registered nurse (Adult or Children’s Nurse Level 1) with at least 2 years’ post-registration experience and strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills.
A caring, proactive professional approach with a passion for supporting young people is essential.
You will also need knowledge of child protection procedures, health promotion, and risk assessment, and will also have experience in school nursing, mental health, sexual health, or paediatrics.
A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
