Job Title: Organisational Development AdvisorHourly Rate: £21.77 – £23.37Duration: 12 weeks+Hours: 37 hours per week, full-time (Hybrid working available)Location / Hybrid Working: Welwyn Garden City
The Role
We’re seeking an L&D professional to design, deliver and evaluate impactful learning solutions that support staff development and performance at a Local Authority Council. You’ll work closely with colleagues to identify capability needs, create engaging learning experiences, and promote the organisation’s wellbeing offer to help maintain a positive, inclusive culture. This is a temporary vacancy offered on an initial 12 week term with opportunity to extend
Key Responsibilities
* Manage organisational development initiatives, including e-learning, continuous training needs analysis, ensuring learning activities meet workforce development needs.
* Design, project manage, deliver (both face-to-face and virtually) and evaluate learning interventions
* Create new and update existing training materials
* Evaluate, monitor and report on the effectiveness of all training interventions
* Source high-quality internal and external learning solutions
* Oversee the new starter induction processe.
* Manage the apprenticeship programme
* Proactively manage and develop the Council’s mentoring programme
* Design and implement a management and leadership development programme
* Maximise the use of learning management systems (LMS)
* Manage the Learning & Development budget, producing regular expenditure reports and demonstrating return on investment (ROI).
* Promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
* Communicate clearly and effectively
* Perform any other duties
Top 5 Requirements (Essential)
* Strong experience in organisational development and learning & development, including training design, delivery and evaluation.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Experience managing key programmes such as apprenticeships, mentoring and management development.
* Strong analytical ability, including evaluating training effectiveness and reporting on outcomes.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage staff at all levels and deliver training confidently both virtually and in person.
