About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of IKEA goods to customers in the local area whilst delivering a high level of service, to ensure our customers have the best shopping experience at IKEA This role offers a competitive salary starting at £28,000 per annum. You will work 43.2 hours per week working a rolling rota of 4 days on and 2 days off. Hours of operation for this role are between 6am and 9pm. Who we are looking for: You must have held a clean Full UK Drivers License for a minimum of 24 months. You have a passion to deliver the best possible experience, are happy to take responsibility and problem solve when things arent right. You are someone who takes Health & Safety seriously and are comfortable risk assessing your environment. You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle. You are a confident and capable driver, experienced in working with GPS and maps. What will you be doing: You will be responsible for completing vehicle safety checks and taking appropriate action. You will load goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner ensuring the delivery route matches the goods for maximum efficiency. You will deliver goods to customers homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property. We deliver all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes you will be required to handle a range of furniture items. Important Information: The expected start date for this role will be May. During the first 2 weeks you will be welcomed into the IKEA team and complete a number of required training modules before starting your full role as a Delivery Driver. Final offers of employment are contingent upon clear results in mandatory background and substance misuse checks.
