ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

This fast-growing, globally recognised FMCG company, supplying major retailers, are recruiting for a tenacious Account Manager to take ownership of key retail accounts and drive profitable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER:
You will take full responsibility for managing and developing key accounts, overseeing the entire process from concept through to product launch and ongoing account growth.
Account Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, managing relationships and ensuring all commercial, product and operational requirements are delivered.
Product Development: Identify market trends and collaborate with design, operations and overseas manufacturing teams to create innovative, trend-led product ranges.
Commercial Management: Control pricing, costings, margins and forecasting to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
Project & Range Management: Manage the critical path from initial brief through to shelf, ensuring products are compliant, delivered on time and aligned with customer expectations.
Customer Engagement: Lead and attend customer meetings, present seasonal ranges and confidently pitch new product concepts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including operations and account support to ensure seamless execution from sampling to delivery.
Market & Trend Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, retail trends and consumer behavior to identify new growth opportunities. ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Account Manager with:
Experience in Account Management within FMCG, ideally with exposure to retail / consumer goods / gifting / packaging / general merchandise
Strong understanding of margin management, pricing, costings and forecasting
Experience managing high-volume accounts and complex product ranges within the FMCG space
A proven track record of delivering new product development (NPD) to market (Ideal, but not essential)
Confidence in your ability to present to buyers, and taking the lead in customer meetings / pitches
A proactive, solutions-focused and positive mindset
Experience working cross-functionally with design, sourcing or overseas manufacturing teams (highly desirable) BENEFITS:
Annual Salary up to £50k, depending on experience.

Full time hours - based in Ringwood, but with flexibility / hybrid working, once established
