We're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the charge in growing our presence in the Out of Home (OOH) channel, representing a leading confectionery brand. This is a rare chance to own a blank canvas territory - bringing energy, initiative, and commercial drive to build success from scratch.
Responsibilities
* Identifying and securing new business opportunities across OOH sectors: leisure, healthcare, education, workplace, and defence sites
* Visiting sites such as soft play centres, theme parks, universities, canteens and contract caterers to pitch and activate opportunities
* Influencing decision‑makers with range advice, merchandising support and display solutions (countertop units, POS)
* Supporting product launches, sampling and seasonal activations (e.g. Freshers events)
* Using data and insight to advise on visibility, availability, and points of interruption
* Managing your diary effectively to balance prospecting, meetings, and activations
* Recording activity via tablet and keeping organised client records (Excel/spreadsheets)
* Remaining a self‑starter with resilience and tenacity, confident in cold calling and sourcing new business
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, contacts, and pipeline development
* Proven sales experience with success in new business wins (OOH/Foodservice experience a plus)
* Confidence with digital tools – Google Sheets, email, tablets, reporting systems
* Full UK manual driving licence for at least one year
