Overview
Rutherford Briant, we’re supporting a well-established organisation near Chelmsford known for its strong finance leadership and commitment to continuous improvement. They’re seeking a Finance Manager - Reporting & Controls to lead core financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant reporting across the group.
Responsibilities
* Lead the transactional teams, setting objectives and monitoring performance
* Oversee VAT, Duty, and IFRS16 reconciliations and compliance
* Manage accruals, prepayments, and Fixed Asset schedules
* Support timely month-end and year-end close, including audit preparation
* Deliver P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost centre reporting
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering activities
* Prepare statutory accounts, tax packs, and liaise with auditors
* Drive process improvements and support wider finance projects
Requirements
* Proven finance team management experience
* Strong technical knowledge (statutory accounts, IFRS)
* Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
