Job Overview
* Protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, ensuring full responsibility and accountability.
* Take part in continuous self‑development through additional training.
Main Duties
Operations
* Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
* Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined in the Assignment Instructions.
* Proactively review and propose amendments to the Assignment Instructions to improve service.
* Maintain required licences (front‑line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, CCTV PSS SIA Licence) and renew them 16 weeks before expiry.
* Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodological and orderly way.
Training
* Completely finish all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key objectives and develop knowledge through continuous professional development.
Security and Health & Safety
* Identify and immediately report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
* Stay alert to any threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce risk.
* Use common sense and initiative; involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers.
* Complete accurate notebook entries after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Stick to schedules and show commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the times stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous Security experience.
* Valid SIA Licence.
* SC Clearance desirable.
