Mission description
The ISMS Officer/Lead will support the ISMS Project Manager in the implementation and management of the deployment of Information Security Management System (ISMS) across Safran Seats sites. This role involves assisting in the preparation, of ISMS processes, methods & tools, ensuring compliance with the Part-IS regulation. Part-IS is EASA's new regulation which is to be implemented by Oct 2025 followed by UKCAA's IS regulation. Post-deployment the responsibility will involve supporting the day to day running and management of the ISMS in accordance with the Information Security Management Manual (ISMM). The Part-IS requirements are applicable to all Safran Seats functions including Engineering, Production, Aftermarket, IT, HR, Supply Chain and Quality. The ISMS officer/lead shall be expected to work with representatives of the functions above to analyse & identify gaps in existing processes and to develop new methods & processes showing compliance to applicable Part-IS requirements. These processes shall be compiled inside or cross-referenced in the ISMM, which is the documented evidence for Part-IS compliance and the handbook for the eventually deployed ISMS. Pre-ISMS Deployment: 1. Assist the ISMS Project Manager in compiling and modifying existing processes. 2. Study current processes and suggest necessary modifications to align with ISMS requirements. 3. Support the development of the Information Security Management Manual (ISMM). 4. Help document IS risks and their impact on aviation safety. 5. Support internal & external audits. Ongoing Role Post-ISMS Deployment: 1. Act as the UK representative for the ISMS organization, supporting day-to-day ISMS management and report in accordance to the ISMS organisational structure. 2. Ensure compliance with ISMS processes at Safran Seats UK sites (Brackley, Cwmbran and Newport). 3. Assist in the continuous improvement of ISMS processes. 4. Support communication, training and staff awareness initiatives related to ISMS. 5. Help manage IS risks and coordinate with Safran IS-IT teams to develop tools and solutions. 6. Other tasks based on the ISMM and its evolution.
Knowledge, Experience, Training and Qualifications A degree graduate Engineer or higher in Electrical/Electronics, IT, Computer Science with good understanding of Information Systems Essential Min of 3 years' experience in aviation industry an industry with stringent safety requirements Essential Risk identification, analysis and risk treatment experience. Essential Basic understanding of aviation regulations & requirements Essential Awareness with EASA's standards/regulations related to either Part 21 (Design & Production Organizations) and Part 145 (Maintenance Organization) Essential Understanding of Organisational processes, methods and tools Essential Knowledge of Safran Seats DOA, POA or MOA processes would be an advantage Desirable Knowledge of IS regulations from EASA/UKCAA Desirable Basic understanding of Cyber Security, IT-IS and its importance in aviation Desirable Familiarity with ISO27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework Desirable Please apply and submit your CV today Once your CV has been reviewed, we will contact you with the next stages.
