Personal Tax Manager
Location: Newport
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Clark Wood, specialists in Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment, are currently assisting a prominent independent firm of chartered accountants in Newport to recruit an accomplished Personal Tax Manager. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team, working closely with partners and overseeing a dedicated team of Tax Seniors and Trainees.
Overview
Responsibilities
* Manage and review tax returns prepared by team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Provide tax advisory services and strategic tax planning to a diverse client base.
* Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs and offer comprehensive advice.
* Identify opportunities for additional client services and coordinate with specialists.
* Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Take ownership of client portfolio management, including billing and debt collection.
* Engage in business development activities and contribute to internal Tax Technical Training sessions.
Skills and Experience Required
* ATT or CTA Qualified with substantial experience in Personal Tax within a practice environment.
* Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and high-quality service delivery.
* Capability to provide clear, concise tax advice and handle complex tax issues.
* Prior experience in managing and guiding junior team members is advantageous.
