Early Years Practitioner – Fixed term until 30/4/2027
Stenhouse Primary School, Stenhouse Nursery Class.
Salary: £30,188 to £34,452 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 36 per week (39 weeks sessional).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to join the nursery, covering a maternity leave until Spring 2027. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in building strong family links, a passion for the outdoors, and experience with additional support needs and multi‑agency working.
Working hours
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00
Friday: 08:00 – 14:30
Key responsibilities / duties
Provide high quality early years care and education to children in the nursery. Foster strong relationships with families. Plan and deliver outdoor and imaginative learning activities. Work collaboratively with the team, including those with additional support needs.

* Experience in early years education.
* Experience with families and building strong family links.
* Experience with additional support needs and multi‑agency working.
* Passion for outdoor learning.
* Strong adaptability and teamwork skills.
Pre‑employment checks

The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
