Operations Supervisor Wanted - Leadership Role with Excellent Development Potential
Location: Robertsbridge | Shifts: Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 18:00 or 18:00 - 06:00
The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our client's busy transport operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in logistics or operational leadership who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
You'll be responsible for:
* Coordinating day-to-day transport operations and team activities
* Acting as the central point of contact between drivers, office staff, contractors, and customers
* Leading and supporting your shift team to deliver the daily transport plan
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards, company policies, and customer requirements
* Managing briefings, incident reporting, and key operational systems (e.g., SAP, Tachomaster)
(Please note: your role may not be limited to these tasks)
Rotating Shift Pattern:
* Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 18:00 - £13.77 per hour
* Monday - Friday: 18:00 - 06:00 - £14.28 per hour
Requirements
Essential:
* 1+ year of experience in a leadership or process-focused role
* 1+ year of experience working in MHE-centric environments
* Understanding of safe working practices and operational team roles
* Strong communication and decision-making skills
* Good English language proficiency
Desirable:
* 3+ years of experience in industrial settings
* 2+ years working in HGV movement environments
* Supervisory or leadership experience within a transport operation
* Familiarity with trailer/vehicle anatomy
* Strong administrative skills
