Job summary Aneurin Bevan University Health Board offers an exciting development opportunity to join the Urology Secretarial team as a Support Secretary. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join us within the Urology Department, Royal Gwent Hospital. The successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be flexible to the needs of the service and able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high standards of work. Knowledge of hospital systems would be beneficial although full training will be given to the successful candidate. This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover the needs of the service. Main duties of the job To provide secretarial support to the Clinical Nurse Specialists and Consultants and the provision of general support throughout the department as and when necessary, during periods of sickness and annual leave. The typing of correspondence, clinic / result letters and general correspondence accurately and within time limits set by departmental standards. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
