Responsibilities
Laboratory Technician role in Truro, Cornwall. Key duties include:
* Deliver mineral processing test work and support high‑standard project delivery.
* Perform metallurgical and analytical testing following SOPs and work instructions.
* Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
* Communicate progress and deviations with team members and project managers.
* Adhere to Health & Safety protocols, handling hazardous materials safely.
* Manage sample logistics, waste disposal and stock levels to keep laboratory running efficiently.
* Repair, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
Qualifications
* Basic math skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office and Google products.
* Strong record‑keeping with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team.
* Self‑motivated and adaptable.
Desirable Competencies
* Knowledge of the mining industry.
* Experience working in a laboratory environment following methods (non‑white coat).
* Understanding of Health & Safety practices.
