PPA Cover Teacher – Part Time (3 Days per Week) – September 2026 Onwards DL5 Area, Newton Aycliffe £121.50 - £158.45 per day (salary dependent on experience and/or qualifications) September 2026 – Ongoing The School and Role A welcoming primary school in the DL5 area of Newton Aycliffe is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on an ongoing basis. This is a part-time position , working 3 days per week , providing PPA cover across KS1/KS2 . The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment. This supportive and inclusive school is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential. The successful teacher will work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to support teaching and learning across the school. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, the desired teacher will confidently manage a variety of classes, build positive relationships with pupils, and promote high standards of behaviour and achievement. Requirements The desired PPA Cover Teacher will have: PGCE with QTS. Experience teaching within KS1/KS2. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum. The ability to confidently teach across a range of classes Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team. A commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
