This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in shaping and maintaining a robust Business Management System (BMS) while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
🔧 What you'll be doing
In this senior role within the Quality team, you’ll help drive quality excellence across the full product lifecycle.
* Maintaining and continually improving the Business Management System (BMS) in line with ISO 9001 and defence quality standards
* Managing the internal audit programme and conducting audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement
* Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys and similar methodologies
* Supporting design reviews and customer quality requirements across bids and contracts
* Investigating customer returns and non-conformances
* Driving supplier quality performance, including audits, APQP activity, FAIs and improvement plans
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, reduce defects and strengthen the supply chain
🎯 What we're looking for
* Experience managing BMS/QMS within a design & manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits and continuous improvement
* Practical experience with 8D problem solving and root cause analysis
* Ability to develop clear processes, procedures and quality documentation
* Confident communicator able to engage with engineers, suppliers and customers
Desirable experience
* Defence, aerospace or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of AQAP2110 or AS9100
* Supplier quality and design assurance experience
