Salary: £35,000 basic + uncapped OTE 25% commission on New Business wins
Location: Huddersfield

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager for our client, a leading IT and Telco services business. This role is crucial in generating new business leads through cold calling, social media, and networking. A full 360 sales role converting leads into closed orders and onboarding new clients. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the product set and capable of cross-selling across various offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting, networking, and cold calling to hunt for new business.
2. Onboarding new customers and continuously cross-selling to maximise value.
3. Maintaining an up-to-date forecast and pipeline, qualifying deals as necessary.
4. Building and maintaining customer relationships by regularly meeting to understand their needs and deliver value-adding solutions.
5. Working towards personal sales targets and contributing to overall department goals.
6. Understanding the product portfolio and participating in regular training sessions.
7. Resolving customer queries and disputes promptly.
8. Maintaining and expanding the customer database with accurate information on the company CRM system.
9. Upselling products through various communication methods.
10. Managing contract renewals.
11. Collaborating with internal teams to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals.
12. Ensuring timely and complete project handovers.
13. Attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences to gain market insights and expand reach.
14. Preparing and presenting proposals, presentations, and quotations to potential customers.
15. Staying updated on new product releases and analysing competitor solutions.

Person Specification: (Industry experience not needed, full training will be given!)
Essential:
16. Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on driving new business.
17. Strong drive to seek new business opportunities.
18. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
19. Strong understanding of IT, including networking, servers, cloud services, and security.
20. Proven ability to achieve sales targets and deliver consistent results.
21. Initiative and strong decision-making skills.
22. Comprehensive knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
23. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
24. Results-driven with the ability to focus on achieving objectives and goals.
25. Ability to analyse market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
26. Willingness to travel frequently.



Desirable:
27. Advanced presentation and persuasive skills.
28. Project management skills.
29. Ability to write reports.
