Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major construction distribution business on the appointment of a Purchasing Administrator. This is a full-time position which offers long-term career growth with the chance to progress to a buyer position. As the Purchasing Administrator you will be responsible for processing purchase orders while monitoring, updating, and prioritising orders to efficiently handle any outstanding items. You will manage the timely fulfilment of back orders and stock requirements. Your duties will include: Preparing and processing purchase orders, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of goods. Communicating with suppliers and vendors, maintaining strong working relationships. Researching and identifying new suppliers for the Procurement Manager. Monitor and report on stock levels as well as managing materials orders Supporting the purchasing team with stock-related administrative duties. Assisting with budgeting and financial planning. Analysing past sales and raising orders with suppliers. What you will need to succeed: 1 year's previous experience in a related position Experienced Excel user with previous SAP and/or Kerridge experience a bonus.
