Do you want more local driving and to be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week, you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.
Our drivers are the beating heart of our business, and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with excellent service.
Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend work.

Your responsibilities
* Maintain a smart and professional appearance, role modeling ‘The Face of Booker’ at all times.
* Drive a clean, presentable vehicle both inside and out.
* Use delivery equipment safely, including cages, straps, and tail lifts.
* Identify and report vehicle defects according to policy.
* Assess health and safety risks during deliveries, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness.
* Load and unload vehicles safely at customer premises.
* Adhere to company policies and GDPR guidelines at all times.
* Lead by example, embodying Booker’s Code of Business Conduct and Win Together behaviors.
* Support branch functions when not on the road, such as vehicle maintenance and loading.
Candidate requirements
* Knowledge of Class 2 vehicles and safe use of delivery equipment.
* Understanding of vehicle defect policies.
* Previous use of PDA (preferable).
* Resilience, positive outlook, and excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Previous Class 2 driving experience, with multi-drop preferred.
