Our client, based in Worcestershire and part of a wider global group, are a growing specialist nationwide service provider and are recruiting now for a Finance Manager to join their Accounts & Finance department. The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading a small finance team whilst taking ownership of budget maintenance, managing P&L ensuring profitability is maintained whilst supporting with transactional HR matters.

Key candidate background needed:
* A minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in Finance Management or a similar level position
* Good working knowledge of SAGE accounts
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Demonstrable experience leading and managing a small finance function
* Very strong attention to detail, organisational, analytical and financial accuracy skills
* Experienced in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
* Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA or similar
* Knowledge and experience in transactional HR (employee relations, recruitment, payroll etc)
* Knowledge and experience in international financial reporting standards would be advantageous

Position accountabilities
* Financial management and reporting
* Managing the profit & loss sheet, maintaining budgets and forecasting to optimise profitability
* Managing internal financial compliance, ensuring all financial statements are completed on-time and are accurate
* Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of UK financial regulations ensuring full compliance with UK Tax laws as well as other regulatory requirements
* Leading and managing a small finance team, supporting development and growth opportunities internally
* Partnering with cross-functional managers to establish business growth objectives whilst driving profitability and sustainability with the use of financial insights
* Overseeing HR functions internally, taking ownership of employee records, developing employee engagement & development programs, payroll & benefits as well as supporting internal recruitment processes.
