Baltic are a national apprenticeship training provider focused solely on tech and digital skills. We exist to address emerging digital skills needs and launch long-term careers through high-quality apprenticeship training.
Due to rapid growth, we’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to create visually compelling content that supports our marketing objectives, enhances our brand image and improves the Baltic experience for both employers and learners.
While this is a temporary maternity cover position, there may be the opportunity for the role to become permanent, subject to business needs at the time.
What’s the Job?
As we continue to grow our apprenticeship programmes, we need a creative individual who can bring our educational content to life through exceptional design. In this maternity cover role, you will be responsible for creating detailed course guides, syllabuses, and marketing materials that communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible and engaging way. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting our marketing campaigns through compelling visual assets across multiple channels.
Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Educational Content Design:
* Create comprehensive course guides and detailed syllabuses for our apprenticeship programmes, targeting both our employer and apprentice audiences
* Design user-friendly layouts that make our technical curriculum engaging, visually appealing, and easy to navigate
* Ensure all educational materials maintain brand consistency while optimising for clarity and usability
* Collaborate with our curriculum team to accurately represent course content and learning outcomes
Lead Generation Content:
* Design high-quality lead magnets including e-books, whitepapers, and downloadable resources
* Create compelling visual content that drives conversions and supports our demand generation campaigns
* Develop infographics and visual assets that communicate key benefits and statistics effectively
Digital Marketing Support:
* Produce engaging social media graphics across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
* Create visual content for email marketing campaigns and marketing automation workflows
Campaign Collaboration:
* Work closely with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and design requirements
* Support paid advertising campaigns with creative assets
* Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design ideas
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Experience in graphic design, preferably in education, marketing, or B2B environments
* Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software
* Experience creating educational materials, guides, or technical documentation
* Ability to work with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across various materials
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret creative briefs
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Knowledge of IT & Digital apprenticeships
* Experience creating educational materials, guides, or technical documentation
* Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot)
* Video editing skills and motion graphics experience
