Whether you’re a night owl by nature, need something that works around daytime commitments, or simply prefer quieter hours, our Relief Night Care Worker role could be just the fit.
At CrossReach, it’s often the little things that matter most, especially at night. A calm word, a reassuring presence, a helping hand when things feel uncertain. As a Relief Care Worker on night shift, you’ll be there for those moments that help people feel safe, respected and cared for, even in the small hours.
In this role, you’ll be:
Supporting people with bedtime routines, overnight care and early morning assistance
Offering comfort, calm and reassurance during the quiet hours
Responding sensitively to individual needs through the night
Working closely with your team to keep the environment safe, homely and supportive
No previous care experience? That’s completely fine.We’ll provide full training and ongoing support. If you don’t yet have your SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare, we’ll help you work towards it.

Shifts that work for youAs part of our relief team, you can pick up night shifts that suit your schedule, whether that’s occasional cover or regular availability. We’ll work around what works for you.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
