Contracts Manager - £40-45k + 10% Car Allowance - West Midlands (Birmingham, Dudley, Rugby)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Contracts Management – Overseeing all current and future contracts over this area.
* Overseeing and manning the coordination of trades to ensure correct levels of trades are maintained.
* Supporting the Operations Manager as required
* Daily support for Operations Manager to ensure all contracts and future contracts run smoothly.
* H&S compliance of being a Principle contractor, Principle Designer and monitoring that throughout site levels and sub-contractors’ levels. Carrying out H&S Audits from a management level for our H&S Advisors
* Monitoring of Site progress, Site Supervisors Processes and setting agendas for supervisors’ meetings, addressing relevant topics of training, implementing processes and overseeing these
* Provide detailed site reports on site progress and site issues etc. on a weekly basis.
* Accurate information to be reported to the client and senior management levels for monthly progress meetings, Board Reporting, and Ongoing Weekly Progress Reviews.
* Control, monitor and administrate all current and future programs of works, collate information received back from supervisor’s weekly reports to give accurate reporting on status of contracts.
* Provide accurate response and delivery of close out and completion on remedial works, customer related queries, and client related queries.
* Maintain contractual records and documentation of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
* As required, provide guidance on contract matters to site supervisors or other operational staff.
* Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
* Work with Finance and QS to ensure adherence to contract terms.
* Work with Supply Chains and manage to ensure competitive terms and conditions.
* Monitor competitive terms. Monitor customer satisfaction with our terms and conditions and contracting practices. Recommend changes.
* Handle on-going issue
* Oversee Service Level Agreement Compliance.
* Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal.
* Oversee the programme of works alongside the Admin dept, ensuring a steady flow of works.
* Coordination of subcontractors and hosting weekly progress meetings.
* Any other duties as the business needs requires.
Qualifications
* HNC in Construction Management / SVQ Level in Construction Management Desirable.
* Trade related qualifications desirable
* SMSTS 5 Day Site Management Safety Training Scheme
* CSCS Card or qualifications to apply for minimum Management level card.
* First Aid / H&S Courses desirable
Person Specification
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong communication, organization, persuasion, influencing, negotiation and decision-making skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to assess situations and develop/implement improvement plans.
* Ability to work effectively at all levels of the Company
* Strong Commercial awareness
* Sufficiently mobile and flexible to attend evening meetings/appointments.
* Excellent negotiation skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, in particular the storing of information pertinent to Contracts.
Experience:
* At least 5 years’ experience within Contract Management role, or Operations role.
* Good communication and influencing skills.
* Accurate recording and reporting of information.
* Ability to working autonomously.
* Planning and Organizing (Scheduling own workload, keeping to reporting deadlines).
* IT skills (desirable as training would be provided).
