We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children aged 5–11 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working 8.45am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Pupils have a range of complex Special Educational Needs, including: Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Physical, medical and mobility needs and Communication, sensory and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist 1:1 and small group support
* Assist with learning activities, sensory programmes and personal care
* Support communication using a variety of methods and tools
* Work closely with teachers, therapists and care staff
Requirements
* Minimum 6 months childcare experience, especially supporting children with SEN needs
* Experience supporting PMLD and/or SLD is highly desirable
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
