Job Responsibilities
* Manage your own interesting portfolio of varied trust clients with the support of an outstanding management team. You will be trusted to work effectively and any ideas for improvements to service will be listened to by senior management.
* Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations and supporting them in this delivery.
* Be actively involved in client meetings, concisely and confidently answering client queries.
* Be involved in supporting senior management in producing high‑quality tax compliance and advice accurately, delivering on expectations and deadlines.
* Have an opportunity to join a large and high‑performing team within Grant Thornton and grow your internal network working with the wider Tax teams and the wider GT network.
Qualifications
Minimum criteria:
* Working knowledge of Trusts Tax and experience of managing a client portfolio.
* Professional qualification (CTA or STEP) with post‑qualification experience.
* Confidence managing a portfolio of clients.
Desirable skills:
* Trust and/or Private Client advisory experience (including advice on potential changes to Trusts, tax‑efficient trust payments and Inheritance Tax planning).
* Trust compliance experience.
* Working knowledge of onshore trusts; offshore trusts experience desirable but not essential.
* Experience with a varied portfolio of trust clients.
