Job Summary
The Lean Deployment Leader is a Lean Thinker with expertise in Lean Transformation. They will play a central role in developing their assigned area of the site in its deployment of the Lean Excellence Model. They will lead, coach, and influence leadership, particularly Group Leaders and Team Leaders, ensuring rigor and fidelity to the Lean Excellence Model.
Job Responsibilities
1. Role modeling a culture aligned with the GKN Aerospace “Great Place to Work” values and Culture Principles.
2. Ensuring a safety-first mindset and that all locations adhere to GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, creating a world-class healthy and safe working environment.
3. Driving disciplined deployment of the Lean Operating Model (LOM) across their Performance Center.
4. Creating and executing the Site Lean Deployment plan.
5. Coaching teams in deploying the Lean Excellence Model.
6. Allocating resources effectively to ensure successful lean deployment and making problems immediately visible for resolution.
7. Delivering improvements in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC), meeting site commitments through enhanced Lean Maturity.
8. Developing deep Lean expertise across the site to ensure self-sufficiency in running the Lean Operating Model.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of lean deployment/leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
* 3+ years of MS Excel experience, including pivot tables and formulas.
* Ability to work under ITAR/EAR regulations and program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Aerospace industry experience preferred.
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
* Strong experience with daily management tools and techniques.
* Understanding of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership.
* Ability to influence all organizational levels.
* Leadership and mentoring skills for highly skilled teams.
* Effective communication and team-building abilities.
* Passion for Lean tools and techniques.
* GKN experience preferred.
