Description
Network Plus is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Technician. Skilled in using CAD and design software to support the planning and development of water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Complete regular site visits and surveys to gather information for detailed designs & as-laid drawings.
Competently produce as-laid drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with the client's asset standards and procedures.
Liaising with the internal team to complete as-laid drawings to meet the set KPI’s.
Represent the company and arrange walk off meetings with the client.
Support the design team by creating high-quality detailed technical drawings, plans and general arrangements.
Create private land notice plans in accordance with the clients’ processes and specification.
Reporting to the design/commercial manager & providing weekly progress updates.
Supporting the design team to complete basic administrative tasks
Experience and Qualifications
Engineering qualifications desirable however an understanding of basic engineering principles would be acceptable.
Experience of working in the water industry on clean/wastewater projects would be advantageous.
Proficient user of AutoCAD
Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experienced or willingness to training in the use of GNSS/GPS surveying equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work as part of a team and to organise your workload across multiple projects
