The department is led by the Quality and Environmental Co-ordinator and this brand-new role will be supporting our Co-Ordinator in the handling of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) compliance, monitoring data and suggesting improvements to company practices. The ideal person will have a passion for driving change and supporting ethical practice.
The Role:
You will support the Quality and Environmental Co-ordinator with the following tasks:
· Taking action to evaluate and improve our environmental footprint including energy and waste reduction;
· Helping to influence and shape sustainable product sourcing;
· Engaging with suppliers to help them to meet sustainability targets;
· Researching changes to compliance requirements and assisting with the communication of these to staff;
· Managing data and preparing reports on sustainable practices and qualitive targets;
· Administering and collecting data;
· The administration and record keeping, necessary for the maintenance of our facilities
The person:
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to engage confidently with colleagues to explain information or obtain data.
· A passion for sustainable practices.
· Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative.
· Ability to adapt and accommodate changing workloads and deadlines.
· Proficient in Excel and Word – a confident computer user
