Grant Thornton’s Forensic and Investigation Services (FIS) offers a range of services to large corporates, law firms, regulators, law enforcement agencies and governments. Our work falls broadly into the following areas: investigations, disputes, digital forensics, corporate intelligence, financial crime and competition services and monitoring. A look into the role
As a member of the Forensic Data Analytics Analyst within our team practice, you will:
1. Combine different tools and technologies to develop end to end analytical solutions that address our clients’ business challenges through asset development.
2. Apply predictive analytics, statistical modelling and machine learning/deep learning techniques.
3. Work closely with business stakeholders and experts in order to develop new concepts to develop new and innovative tools to support the evolving data landscapes.
4. Stay up to date with developments in the field of analytics, RPA, Machine Learning and visualisation.
5. Work as part of a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Forensic Data Analytics Analyst, the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience in a similar role and strong SQL skills. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
6. Python and dashboarding (Power BI preferable) experience is desirable
7. Strong logical/analytical skills
8. Experience with ETL process
9. Experience with version control is desirable
10. Experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders
11. Good time management skills and the ability to balance priorities
12. Strong English knowledge (both written and spoken)
13. Open to using different tools and technologies to best serve our clients’ needs
14. Forensic mindset, where attention to detail is critical
15. Stay up to date with developments in the field of analytics and forensics
16. Confident with report writing and presenting to stakeholders
