Painter and Decorator (Empty Homes)

Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 39 hours (M-Th 8am to 4.30pm / Fri 8am to 3.30pm)
At Amplius, we’re committed to building quality homes and strong communities. You’ll be part of a supportive team helping us bring empty homes up to our Amplius Void Standard. This role plays a key part in making our properties ready for new customers and contributes directly to improving our re-let times and customer satisfaction.
Snapshot of your role
* Carrying out internal and external decorating work to a high standard across our homes
* Preparing surfaces, applying paint by brush and roller, spraying, and applying wall coverings
* Treating areas affected by mould using approved methods
* Working closely with other trades to deliver a seamless and efficient service
* Managing your materials, van stock and work schedule to maximise productivity
* Using a smartphone or tablet to receive jobs, updates and report on work completed
* Always representing Amplius professionally and safely, upholding our values
Your toolkit for success
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in painting and decorating (desirable)
* Experience carrying out painting and decorating work, including:
-Surface preparation and protection
-Paint application via brush, roller, and spraying
-Wallcovering application
-Mould treatment techniques
-Basic snagging of void properties
* Passion for doing a good job and taking pride in your work
* Experience in housing or void properties
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices
* Self-motivated, reliable and confident working independently or with a team
* Comfortable using basic technology for work updates (mobile, tablet, Outlook, Teams etc)
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
