Pre-Construction Project Coordinator – Main Contractor
Location: Solihull
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + package

A well-established main contractor based in Solihull is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Project Coordinator to join their team and play a pivotal role in the early stages of project delivery.
This position sits at the centre of the business, working closely with both Commercial and Operational teams to manage the full pre-construction process — ensuring projects are fully planned, coordinated and ready for successful delivery on site.
The Role:

Coordinating the full pre-construction process from bid stage through to site start
*
Managing programmes, design development and early-stage project planning
*
Working closely with Commercial and Operational teams to ensure buildability, cost certainty and risk mitigation
*
Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
*
Chairing pre-construction and coordination meetings
*
Managing information flow, RFIs and technical queries during the pre-con phase
*
Supporting handover from pre-construction into site delivery teams
*
Reviewing tender information and assisting with bid submissions
*
Identifying opportunities for value engineering and programme efficiencies
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Proven experience in a Pre-Construction, Project Coordination or Project Management role within a main contractor environment
*
Strong understanding of construction processes from tender to site start
*
Commercially aware with the ability to work closely with QS and operational teams
*
Confident communicator able to manage multiple stakeholders
*
Organised, proactive and detail-driven
*
Experience managing programmes and early-stage project planning
*
Able to work office-based and attend sites when required
