JMC Aviation are working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation company based in South Wales, looking to recruit a new B2 Licensed Engineer to join their team.
This company is currently in the midst of building a global reputation for efficient, cost effective quality work as one of the few independent UK-based MRO's. As well as maintenance support, the company also operate as a training provider for commercial pilots. With the goal for continued growth, the company are looking to expand their team, with a position for a new B2 Licensed Engineer available.
This is a Permanent Position based in South Wales, working a Seasonal shift (September – May) Mon-Thurs 0700 – 1615, Fri 0700 – 1430

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to supervise, mentor and delegate resources as the situation demands to ensure the smooth running of the operation, whilst meeting Part 145 maintenance requirements, internal processes and procedures, and customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Other duties involve:
Carrying out maintenance and inspection of aircraft as defined in the Company’s MOE and published procedures.
Leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in all aspects of Base Maintenance checks.
Ensuring correct completion of paperwork and forms as required in the Company MOE or published procedures.
Keeping the Bay Manager and Production Planners informed of the maintenance requirements and any potential or actual issues.
Ensuring all maintenance documentation is fully completed in a timely manner, including that of the personnel allocated to assist in the task.
Ensuring correct timings are allocated to a task and bookings on task cards are accurate.
Ensuring the correct storage of aircraft components, including labelling, racking, availability and serviceability.
Maintaining standard engineering practices within the hangar, such as accurately completing task cards, general hangar husbandry, ensuring workplace cleanliness and taking active measures to prevent FOD.
Recommending to the Bay Managers, Maintenance Manager and their deputies any improvements in working conditions, practices and procedures which may result in an improvement in efficiency and/or morale.
Any other tasks and duties as reasonably required in accordance with the needs of the business.
Responsible for working in accordance with the company framework and compliance with the organisations policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of the company.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the B2 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
Ability to demonstrate aircraft system(s) knowledge and use of recognised aircraft documentation
Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation
Demonstrates a broad skillset in aircraft systems including component replacement, modification embodiment and strong fault-finding skills
EASA B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence
- UK CAA AML or EASA AML issued pre 31/12/20 or; UK CAA AML and EASA AML issued post 31/12/20
Type Rating & Recency for any Boeing or Airbus family aircraft, preferably: Boeing 737CL / 737NG / 757 / 767
