We are working with leading UK Renewables business is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team.This is an exceptional opportunity for you to join a rapidly expanding organisation at the forefront of renewable energy, where your expertise will directly influence the company's growth trajectory. You will be at the heart of financing, capital raising, and process integration, working closely with senior leadership and gaining exposure to senior level executives
As Financial Controller, you'll be at the heart of the business-leading on financial elements of long-term agreements, liaising with banks and funders, and preparing compelling investor materials. You'll also take ownership of modelling, FP&A, and core finance processes to enable strategic decision-making at the highest level.
* Financial Support for Long-Term Agreements: Collaborate with banks, debt providers, and funding partners throughout origination, due diligence, documentation, and financial close.
* Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain investment-ready project-level models with robust assumptions to ensure successful funding outcomes.
* Business Planning: Build and own core business plan models linking operational drivers (MW delivery, pipeline management, margin analysis, capex timing, conversion rates) to detailed financial projections.
* Board & Investor Reporting: Produce forecasts, scenario analyses, and sensitivities that inform strategic decisions at the highest level.
* Presentation Packs: Create high-quality board and investor presentations using PowerPoint, supported by clear Excel outputs.
* Systems Integration: Drive integration of finance systems and create scalable processes for purchase order flow, supplier tracking, project cost control, and funding drawdowns.
* Month-End & Reporting: Work alongside the Finance Director to deliver accurate monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and clean month-end processes.
What you'll bring:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA)
* Advanced Excel skills for robust, investor-grade modelling
* Strong PowerPoint skills to create compelling presentations
* Confident, credible communicator with banks, funders, investors, and senior stakeholders
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment while collaborating with leadership
* Ideally, experience in renewable energy and long-term contracted revenue models
* Exposure to capital raising processes and investor materials (desirable)
* Familiarity with finance system integration and CRMs
