Contract Hours: Up to 30 per week, term time only. We are flexible and happy to consider candidates who prefer to work between 20 to 30 hours per week.
Contract Salary: NJC Grade E SCP 12-17, £27,711 - £30,060 per annum (pro-rata)

Role Overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join a small team working with School Governors. The successful candidate will provide governance support to governing board meetings, committees, and hearings by preparing for, attending, and minuting meetings. They will advise on school governance inquiries and decision-making procedures. A key aspect of the role is the ability to take accurate and concise minutes of formal meetings. Additionally, the role involves supporting governor training and development, and providing support for other meetings of the council as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with senior leaders.
* High level of personal organization and the ability to act on own initiative.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines within set procedures.
* Diplomacy, confidentiality, and sensitivity in handling governance matters.
* Strong awareness of good governance practices.
Additional Information
The post is part-time (up to 30 hours per week), mainly during school term time. The salary quoted is the full-time equivalent; the actual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Hybrid working arrangements are in place, allowing work in the office and at home. Regular visits to school settings are required. Hours may vary across the academic year, with peak periods requiring additional hours, balanced by quieter periods at term start and end. Attendance outside normal hours (3 pm to 8 pm) is necessary. Variable hours offer flexibility in managing your own diary, subject to line manager approval.
