About the Position
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
* Provide tailored support to pupils both individually and in small groups
* Encourage engagement, participation, and positive learning behaviours
* Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning programmes
* Support communication, social development, and emotional regulation
* Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
* Help monitor progress and celebrate achievements
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and genuinely committed to improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
* Experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work, or support settings
* A strong understanding of SEND or a desire to develop specialist knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-focused
* A positive attitude and collaborative approach to teamwork
Qualifications are valued, but personal qualities, enthusiasm, and commitment are equally important.
