Paralegal - Employment Law
Hybrid working - Leamington Spa (3 days in office, 2 days home based)
Salary: £24-30k, excellent benefits, flexible working & fantastic culture
My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Paralegal to join a busy, well-respected Employment Law team. Ideally, you will have worked as an Employment Law Paralegal previously or have gained some Employment, Commercial, or Corporate law experience.
You will work on contentious and non-contentious matters, undertake drafting (contracts, handbooks, witness statements, settlement agreements), as well as provide ad-hoc HR and employment law support to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work on contentious and non-contentious matters, undertake drafting (contracts, handbooks, witness statements, settlement agreements), and provide ad-hoc HR and employment law support to clients.
* Advise, prepare, and submit instructions.
* Liaise with clients via email and telephone.
* Deal promptly and efficiently with all matters and tasks referred by fee earners in a busy department.
* Prepare documentation for fee earners to assist in the preparation of client files.
* Review and prepare documents for document production requests, solicitor e-bundles, e-bills, respond to client emails, and upload to the Case Management system.
* Work with a variety of clients to offer high-quality client care and service, tailoring communication to different client needs.
* Utilize various communication tools to update clients on their cases.
* Continuously develop client engagement, take instructions, and, where appropriate, advise clients in person, by email, or over the telephone.
* Onboard clients by opening and closing files.
* Be proactive on files and deal with tasks using initiative.
About you:
* Some experience working as a paralegal in Employment Law, Commercial Law, or Corporate Law.
* Excellent client care and support skills.
* Excellent communication skills, alongside strong negotiation skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize, and manage a varied caseload.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
* High standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
* Ability to analyze, evaluate, and communicate information logically.
* Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts.
