IT Support operates within the IT Services team, working with Infrastructure and Security teams to provide first-class end-user support across all IT needs. The team also handles system implementation, administration, and support for internal domain services such as networks, Wi-Fi, AV setup, and hardware/software administration.


What You'll Be Doing

We are looking to hire an IT support engineer to assist users with hardware and software issues. The role involves working on-site at our London office, supporting user account and hardware setups, installations, upgrades, system integrations, and basic IT support.

To succeed, you should have some prior experience with home and office systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills. A top-class support engineer provides fast and effective support for hardware and software issues. Your responsibilities will include:

* Responding to support requests via in-person, Jira, Slack, and video calls.
* Assisting with bespoke applications for our customer operations teams.
* Diagnosing hardware and software problems.
* Installing and maintaining hardware and peripherals.
* Upgrading operating systems and software.
* Managing ticket SLAs.
* Troubleshooting network issues.
* Advising on upgrades.
* Providing basic user training.
* Setting up office equipment and supporting relocations.
* Onboarding new employees with equipment and account setup.
* Managing user accounts and asset register.
* Contributing to process improvements and documentation.
* Participating in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support.


Requirements

* Experience as a support engineer or technician.
* Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Office 365, Intune, Autopilot, Mac OS.
* Strong hardware troubleshooting skills, preferably with Dell systems.
* Ability to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
* Willingness to travel and work after hours if needed.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Nice to Have

* Experience with data administration, SQL.
* Experience with OS patching and upgrades.
* Understanding of IT security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST).
* Networking knowledge (Cisco, Palo Alto).
* Certifications like ITIL, CompTIA.
