About the role

We are looking to recruit a Duty Manager for our brand new store in Southampton. Are you our next superhero and looking to progress your retail management career? If so, we would like to hear from you. At this very exciting time of business growth, come and join us on our journey.

Salary: £31,000+ depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Sales

1. Deliver, maximise and exceed sales targets in store
2. Maintain availability of all products is maintained on the Shop Floor
3. Ensure the team’s familiarity with all products in all departments
4. Make sure all customer purchases are carried out in accordance with Company guidelines

Customer Service

5. Ensure that all customer queries are dealt with promptly and effectively
6. Achieve and maintain company standards on housekeeping, floor presentation and space planning
7. Participate in weekly stock takes - identify and report abnormal counts to the Store Manager

Staffing/Operations

8. Ensure staffing levels match the business needs, or events in-store
9. Prepare, monitor and action daily task board
10. Actively drive the team’s knowledge of Top Sellers and Department Stock Loss
11. Assist Store Manager with all staffing issues,. training and performance reviews
12. Cash handling/Security/ daily spot checks on all tills
13. Ensure that company cash/stock handling procedures are adhered to at all times
14. Responsible for the opening and closing of the Store

The ideal candidate

15. Have a proven track record as a Retail Manager in a fast paced retail environment
16. Be able to demonstrate a high level of operational, leadership, planning, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
17. Be target driven and customer service orientated
18. Be highly motivated and ambitious
19. Be a self starter with a can do attitude
20. Excellent Microsoft Office skills
