This role is to work as part of the Portfolio Management team, a well-established national team of junior fee-earners supporting our Real Estate group.
Our Real Estate group covers all aspects of commercial real estate work including development, investment, asset management, funding, construction, landlord and tenant, planning, environmental issues, and dispute resolution. Our clients include property management and development companies, health trusts, government bodies (local and central), owner-occupiers, and institutions both in the UK and overseas.
The team has a proven track record in paralegal progression. We value our Portfolio Management team as an incubator for future talent. Over the past 12 months, four former paralegals have qualified as solicitors with professional development funding and mentoring from within the team and wider group.
Key Responsibilities
The Paralegal role is varied, working across the national Real Estate group but mainly serving telecoms operator clients. You will manage your own files and interact with clients.
Your work will include preparing title and lease reports, drafting and negotiating leases, agreements, and deeds, as well as assisting fee earners on various client matters and providing general support.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Excellent academic record, including a 2.1 degree or higher.
* A genuine interest in law and property.
* Experience in Commercial Property is not essential but advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to produce high-standard work.
* Confidence and ability to build strong relationships with clients (internal and external) and third parties at all levels.
* Flexible, organized, self-motivated team player capable of working collaboratively to achieve goals.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
