Rehabilitation Engineer role at AJM Healthcare. We are a leading provider of wheelchair and community equipment services to the NHS and the private sector with over 35 years of experience. We seek a qualified, registered Rehabilitation Engineer to join our Integrated Wheelchair Service clinical team.
Responsibilities
* Hold, prioritise, plan and organise your own caseload of service users, including those with complex needs
* Provide high quality, service user focused assessment and prescription of manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, buggies and seating
* Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines while promoting best practice and undertaking all aspects of clinical and technical duties
* Provide clinical and technical advice to other members of the team
* Demonstrate competence within the wheelchair services specialism, backed by relevant theory and experience
* Supervise and allocate work to rehabilitation assistants and rehabilitation engineering technicians
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a qualified, registered Rehabilitation Engineer to join our team. You will conduct assessments with NHS wheelchair users in various settings while maintaining an outstanding customer experience. You will demonstrate an empathic and resilient approach in challenging situations and work collaboratively with our customer service, logistics, and wider clinical teams. You will manage your own caseload of patients with a range of permanent wheelchair mobility, postural, and pressure relief needs, ensuring best practice is maintained and seeking guidance from Clinical and Service Leads as needed.
Qualifications
* Valid manual driving licence with no more than 6 points for insurance purposes
* Engineering qualification
* Registration with either the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT) or Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS)

This role is based within a regulated environment and will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check (cost covered by the company).
Continuation of the NHS Pension Scheme is available to successful candidates who have been members within the last 12 months and is subject to NHS Pensions Terms & Conditions.
