The Role
We’re looking for a Training & Development Manager to take ownership of our learning and development strategy and build a best in class training function.
This is a hands on, high impact role where you’ll design programmes, implement systems, and coordinate training activity across the entire organisation to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality.
You will report into the Chief People Officer, with a dotted line into the Chief Security Officer, ensuring alignment between people strategy and operational capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Build and deliver a company-wide Learning & Development strategy
* Coordinate training across the organisation, ensuring consistency and visibility
* Design structured training pathways from frontline to leadership
* Lead the rollout of a Learning Management System (LMS)
* Oversee and deliver training including:
* Mental health awareness
* Conflict management & violence reduction
* Emergency response (including FREC3)
* Incident management & resilience
* Drive high standards of training within healthcare environments (NHS)
* Create engaging induction and onboarding programmes
* Manage external training providers and ensure quality delivery
* Provide insight and reporting on workforce capability and compliance
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in training / L&D within the security sector
* Experience delivering training in operational or high-risk environments
* Knowledge of healthcare/NHS security settings
* Understanding of emergency response training (e.g. FREC3)
* Strong organisational, stakeholder, and communication skills
* Ability to build structure, systems, and scalable training programmes
Desirable
* Experience implementing an LMS
* Knowledge of security regulations or licensing
* Experience in conflict management training
* Exposure to ESG or workforce development initiatives
