Overview

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected. An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Health Visitor to apply for a Permanent post in the Eildon East Health Visiting team.

The post will be based at Newstead, but the successful candidate will be expected to support service delivery across the wider cluster and occasionally other cluster areas if the need arises. Applications will also be considered from trainee Health Visitors approaching the end of their training.

Responsibilities

* Support service delivery across the wider cluster and, when required, across other cluster areas.

Qualifications

If the post is assessed as a regulated role, appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Any changes will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. Details on these changes can be reviewed in Disclosure Scotland Changes.
* To work in the United Kingdom, individuals must have the relevant permission to work in the country. NHS Scotland Boards will check entitlement to work as part of pre-employment checks, which can be evidenced through various routes including visas and EU settled or pre-settled status. For more information, please refer to GOV.UK procedures.
