Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer / Plumber to join our dynamic team.
You will work a 39 hour week, based at our Clydebank Office.
After initial induction & training period you will service our customers across Central Scotland area. Daily, we cover various postcodes - G, PA, ML, KA, FK, EH.
We provide a modern liveried van for business use and home to office, mobile phone, uniform, PPE. We also provide all test equipment.
Starting rate of pay will depend upon experience & skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and heating/ plumbing systems in residential settings.
This role requires a strong understanding of gas safety regulations / basic plumbing and the ability to work effectively with various tools and test equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills and practical experience, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in gas systems, providing effective solutions.
* Trace & Repair basic plumbing issues within domestic properties. Such as ;-Blocked Toilet, Leaking Pipes, Faulty Taps etc.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including joiners and fellow gas engineers / plumbers, to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs.
Skills
* Hold relevant ACS qualifications in - CCN1, CENWAT1 + CKR1 as a minimum.
* Experienced in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong plumbing skills, particularly related to gas systems.
* Mechanical knowledge to understand complex systems and components.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
* Basic Carpentry skills for any necessary structural modifications related to gas installations.
