Overview
The curation team members are Reddit's tour guides. They welcome new users and help them discover where they belong, supporting the growth of smaller, unknown communities in the process. As a member of this team, you will help improve Reddit’s content understanding and make a big impact on content experiences across all of Reddit.
Role Description
Focusing on Germany and other European countries, you will map Reddit by contextualizing and identifying relationships between subreddits and posts based on culture, trends, audience, genre and/or theme. You will create categories and label subreddits and posts to improve Reddit’s content understanding, resulting in better ML recommendations.
Responsibilities
* Partner with international curation lead, GM and community lead to implement the content strategy.
* Drive Reddit’s understanding of different communities, content and audiences in the region, specifically in Germany
* Understand policy and labelling guidelines and execute accurate labels based on those guidelines.
* Content labelling (maintaining the accuracy and coverage of our community topics and ratings).
* QA of Machine Learning results and creation of data sets for Machine Learning training.
* Identifying common patterns in datasets and documenting insights based on labelling observations.
Required Qualifications
* Native language proficiency and cultural knowledge of Germany
* Comfort working in both English and German (knowledge of other regional languages is a plus)
* Experience with investigating, reviewing, or assessing digital content.
* Deep knowledge of and passion for Reddit, internet culture and online trends.
Bonus Points
* Experience as a successful content creator/curator on TikTok/YouTube/Instagram.
* Experience as a moderator on Reddit.
